International
We do work in countries around the world to address the crisis of human trafficking, slavery, and sexual exploitation. Our work includes intervention, prayer mobilization, awareness and prayer events, and establishing restoration homes.
Brazil
The World Stage
A nation famous for its passion for football and Carnival, Brazil is preparing to host two world-class sporting events:
• The FIFA World Cup will be played in twelve cities across the country, from June 12 to July 13, 2014.
• The Summer Olympics will be hosted by Rio de Janeiro, August 5–21, 2016.
In recent years, a connection has been documented between the rise of human sex trafficking and international sporting events. Over the next several years, increased infrastructure development, foreign investment, and national patriotism will contribute to an environment hospitable to traffickers who anticipate a revenue boom in sexually-oriented businesses during these global sporting events. With 730,000 annual visitors to Rio de Janeiro for Carnival, plus the huge influx of visitors for the World Cup and Summer Olympics, much of the revenue will come at the expense of women and children trafficked into and through Brazil.
Statistics
• There are an estimated 250,000 child prostitutes in Brazil.
• The age of consent is 14.
• Prostitution is legal at 18.
Exodus Cry’s Response
Over the next four years, Exodus Cry will focus their international fieldwork on the nation of Brazil. This four-year campaign to exalt Jesus as the source of true justice will partner with churches and local organizations for breakthrough in the current trafficking situation. Through a grassroots movement of awareness, prayer, and outreach, we aim, by the grace and power of God, to see the issue of human trafficking addressed in Brazil and to witness a decrease in the trafficking of women and children in that nation.

ISRAEL 2012
I have set watchman on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. —Isaiah 62:6–7
In March 2012, Exodus Cry will be taking a team to Israel, the apple of God’s eye. In the midst of her many challenges, and amongst a population of only 7.4 million, there are one million monthly visits to those exploited in brothels. The high demand for illicit sex is reflected in the annual, billion-dollar profits generated by Israel’s sex industry, the supply pool of which is met primarily by precious, impoverished daughters of Europe, China, and the Philippines. These girls are held in brothels and apartments where both religious and non-religious clientele purchase them up to as many as twenty times a day.
As watchmen on the walls, we battle for many caught in the alarming existence of human trafficking in this country. We are going to Israel to raise up a voice for the voiceless in prayer and awareness. Please stand with us as we proclaim God’s truth in the very place where our Lord Himself declared liberty to the captives and the opening of prison doors to all who are oppressed (Isa. 61:1).
For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. —Isaiah 2:3
