I returned to my home city after I had been gone for a time. I’m not sure how long it had been, but I noticed that everything had changed. All of the Christians that I knew or had run into were scared and hiding. They were afraid and there was a sense of lawlessness in the air.
I soon find myself in the company of Bonyen (Bonyen is half Thai as Thailand is her mother’s homeland although not sure if that’s why she is in my wife’s dream) and she is eager to make dinner for me and my family, although I don’t know where my family is. She is very excited about dinner and starts to gather vegetables to clean them. I remember telling her that there is chicken in the freezer and I think that the kids would enjoy that instead of just vegetables. She just said, “No, we are only to eat veggies.” I kept feeling very weird about the whole thing and I felt led to go out side and see what is going on.
I ran into other Christian people and they were trying to discourage me from being bold or stirring up the waters. I continued through the city. I came to an animal, I think it was a puppy/dog, and it was locked in a cage about 10x10 feet. It was very, very hungry and sad. It kept looking at the people passing by. Everyone saw it, but no one did anything to help. It was almost like a show. I yelled at anyone, “Why don’t you set this animal free? Help her.”
Then he came into the cage. It was the man who had control over the city. Once he stepped into the cage he took on the form of a gorilla. He was huge, maybe seven feet tall. The dog became very still and still very hungry. The gorilla walked up behind the dog and proceeded to put himself inside the butt of the dog, although I wasn’t exactly sure where he was going into. I became outwardly disgusted. No one else seemed to be. After a few seconds and after seeing my disgust, the gorilla stopped. The dog was then expecting something to eat or drink. The gorilla laughed and then put his penis under or inside of what looked like a bottle. The dog being so hungry started to drink from it.
I turned to look for help and I saw a woman sitting in a room at her desk. I said, “How can you let this happen?”
It then dawned on me that this man was her husband. She was very unemotional and submissive, unchallenging and not powerful. She might have held a place of honor before, or received respect, but now there was none.
I said, “He must be stopped. Do I have your permission to stop him or destroy him?”
She responded, “What’s the point? He has control over everything.”
Again I said, “Do I have your permission?
“Yes,” she said.
Then in walked Keala (our 7 year old daughter at the time), only she wasn’t my daughter. I realized that this girl, Keala, is the dog that had been kept in the cage. I became furious and confused. She walked up to the lady and began talking about something. By the time I started to pay attention to their conversations, they were talking about periods.
The lady said, “Oh, but you don’t have your period yet.” Keala said nothing, and then she nodded. “She does have her period!” I screamed.
“Oh,” said the lady, very uncaringly.
“I didn’t know what to do, so I tried to get the scissors and cut it out.” Keala said.
I took her to the bathroom and tried to get her some sanitary napkins. Then I stopped and asked her about the time in the cage. I asked her where the man went into her body. She said her butt, which made me furious, yet relieved that she would not be pregnant.
This information further confirmed that I must go after this man, even though nobody seemed to stand with me.
I woke up very disgusted and upset in my stomach. Every moment of pure silence that I have to myself is consumed with the images of this dream. Even when I continued my reading in Exodus, certain things I read brought more pondering of the dream. I really, truly want to forget it, but I know I can’t. This dream, shakes my mind, makes my stomach turn, puts a lump in my throat, and tears in my eyes.
Help this generation Lord. Help us Father. I am crying out to you, Lord. Hear us. Set up free from the cage. Help us to be free. Protect my children and the children of this generation. Father, have mercy on us. Help our hearts to be set on fire so we don’t conform to the way that promises one more day on Earth. Help us to set our minds and hearts on eternity. If we do, then we won’t sell ourselves for one meal. Sustain us, oh Lord and come to our rescue. Sustain us and come to our rescue. Sustain us and come to our rescue.
